    My first bass was a Ripper. The finish peeled off for some reason. I also had an Ovation Ma b number with the slide switches- I never see that configuration these days.

    I saw Frank Zappa in 1984. His equipment truck had wrecked, so they were on plan b. Zappa was rocking a Pignose with a mike in front of it. Sadly I didn't get pics. Okay it wasn't a bass but it was dinky and it sounded great!

    Bass Players are Their Own Worst Enemy!

    Truce granted. In my day I went big, Acoustic 360 with the double cab. It had wheels, no problem. These days at 60, I bought a Peavy 415 and found out when it arrived that it weighs 75 lbs. I put it on a cart and it still stays home. Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
