    GSS Sumo Clip problems

The rating on the speaker- and the output of an amplifier do not run hand in hand. A 200 watt amplifier is completely capable of blowing a 500 watt speaker. Too many people using these two things synonymously.

This is a completely subjective question with no right or wrong answer. I’ve ran mine just as you described, bass-DI-FOH Other times used a preamp. Seems you had great success with just DI to FoH. So I’d say why switch?

People with multiple versions of the same bass—why?

The two long haired gents are not in the band. They were collaborators on the track (singer and guitar player on the left) And that’s the nature of music videos unfortunately. They leave the rhythm section out sometimes. lol

Wayne Jones Audio going belly up. killer deals available

I think part of it is players have moved away from big tack setups for live. So, as amazing as the preamp may be, that’s what? 4 rack spaces? Then you need a power amp, or a powered speaker cab. Or, grab a 5 pound class D amp and a light weight 210. I mean, it’s a pretty simple decision...

What's the Most Overlooked Skill for Bass Players?

I fully well understand it. It’s a myth and an excuse.

What's the Most Overlooked Skill for Bass Players?

Meh…..less isn’t more. At all. It’s a few things, but “more” isn’t one them. One is it’s made up by guitar players whose egos are too fragile to have the bass player steal and glimpse of their spotlight. Also made up by players who, well, just can’t do anything other than play simple...

What's the Most Overlooked Skill for Bass Players?

Knowing how to EQ. Most have zero clue and sit there and wonder why they can’t hear themselves on stage.
