    NBD! I can't believe it!

This 1981 Precision Bass was owned by a mentor of mine. It traveled all over the world, when he was a missionary. This instrument has a soul. It feels like magic picking it up. Unfortunately it does not have the stock pickup. It sounds incredible though. It plays like a dream.

    Sonicake B Factory Bass Preamp

I ended up ordering the EHX Battalion. It just came today. I’ll update on how it works. I was nervous buying another Sonicake product to replace the Sonicake product (Dapper) that I’m not happy with. We’ll see if I made a good decision.

    Sonicake's BASS FACTORY PREAMP (demo/review)

Do you have any line noise? I’m using the Dapper Bass by the same company and there is always a little bit of a hiss that drives me nuts. I can’t take it any more. I mainly only need EQ and a little compression. I’m trying to decide if I should try to go the inexpensive route again (and try...

    Sonicake B Factory Bass Preamp

    9v battery for active bass

The cause of the noise is kind of a rats nest of wiring inside the bass. I’m using an Amazon Basics 9V

    9v battery for active bass

I’ve been chasing some noise issues with my P-Bass Lyte. One thing I hadn’t thought of was the brand of battery I’m using. I’ve just been using the Amazon cheap ones. Are all 9Vs created equally? I plan on getting another one tomorrow to test it. What brand should I get?

Replacing the pickups on a Fender Precision Lyte

I get so much electrical interference where I play. I’m thinking switching to passive pickups would reduce that. Does that sound accurate?

Replacing the pickups on a Fender Precision Lyte

Does anyone know if TI flats would turn this into a passive pickup instrument? I don’t think I need active pickups. My factory ones buzz. Both sets of them.
