If you put an Squire affinity bass in Jaco’s hands today. Wouldn’t he still kill it and sound better than most of us with boutique instruments? I sold an Aguilar cab and bought 2x rumble 112s and have no regrets. I believe you have some gear snobbery my friend!

I bought one for a backup bass and they are phenomenal basses for $300 stock. I thew some nylon flats on it and has a cool motown sound now. Keep thinking about throwing a Nordstand or Agular pickup in their, but I just bought a 63 P bass vintage replica... There goes my pocket change for a while!

I'm so glad I found this post. I just bought a SR655 that has, I believe, the same single coil in the back, but a split P on the neck. Faded all the the Split P is almost completely quite of Hum and sounds increadible. The Big Single in the back is driving me crazy with the hum. Tried all types...
