Self taught on just about everything. Been playing bass for 3 decades but last 10 yrs not so much due to twin kids coming into my life .
Ironically around the same time I started getting back into playing I sliced my left index knuckle like a convertible soft top and its been stiff ever since so I don't know if I'll ever enjoy playing like I used to. This got me looking at other ways of enjoying the craft, like actually creating/tinkering with gear. Since I'd sold my bass and guitar after the injury, I just figured I'd try my hand at building my own from kits. I have swirled one guitar and another body I just finished what I'll call an "enamel pour" based on the acrylic pour art my sister does. You can seen the results in my profile pic for now (lighting doesn't do it justice!)

Favorite Genres
I will give anything that does not put "art" over "listen-ability" a try...
Previously Owned Gear
Ibanez SR305, Cort B4 fretless, Ibanez ATK 4 String, Steinberger something-or-other with "V" body not the more rectangular.
Note that the is no real overlap in ownership of these basses, I am typically a 1 bass at a time kind of guy...
G.A.S. List
Honestly, I've come to desire to build my own stuff, for myself, ground up. So currently, I have S.A.S. instead... (Skillz Acquisition Syndrome)
Influences and Teachers
Geddy Lee, Peter Hook, Les Claypool, Victor Wooten. I have studied with exactly none of these people.
