    Drop E0 tuning

 Wait, I thought that’s what we were all trying to do  I could only imagine how massive it would sound on your fretless bass.

    Drop E0 tuning

l This is great, thank you so much. I already have a HPF pedal in mind. It sounds like if I go this route then I should be okay as long as I use the HPF pedal. I’m going to try to tune it BEBEAD first. I really liked how low my bass sounded with the tuning set to E0 even though I wasn’t...

    Drop E0 tuning

I’ve never heard of a HPF. I did notice my Empress Bass Compressor has a variable high pass filter. Do you know if this is the same thing or if I’m better off buying a HPF pedal?

    Drop E0 tuning

Do you have an octave pedal you’d recommend? I tried this using a Digitech Whammy and it didn’t sound very good at all IMO.

    Drop E0 tuning

If I did go to this tuning would it damage my amp and cab? I have a gk800rb and an ampeg svt 212av. I read online somewhere a high pass filter pedal will help prevent the lower frequencies damaging a cab, which is why I’m asking.

    Drop E0 tuning

I had no clue. I never got into Meshuggah but that sounds interesting. I think I’m going to try this approach first before spending money on a new bass. In the case of my guitarist drop tuning to EBEADG, does that mean I should tune all the strings on my bass (BEADGC) to match the exact octave...

    Drop E0 tuning

Sorry I originally read this wrong and thought you were offering to sell it lol. This looks awesome and I’m sure it sounds amazing. Especially fretless.

This looks awesome. I prefer a 6 string bass though. Thanks anyway.

    Drop E0 tuning

Hey all, I play in a death metal band and we have new songs that are in drop E0. The guitarist tunes to EBEADG. I drop tuned my 6 string bass to that tuning during our last practice out of curiosity. I loved the low/punchy bass tone that came out but obviously since my bass wasn’t built for...

Amp recommendation comparable to GK 800RB

They really are unique, which is why I love them so much. Other bass players in my area have mentioned the other amps but wanted to ask the pros here. Wont the Legacy 800 be too powerful for my Ampeg 212av cabinet? It’s rated at 600w.

Amp recommendation comparable to GK 800RB

I made a post about a year ago and everyone said the same thing. I wanted to post again since I found some new ones nobody mentioned. Thank you.

Amp recommendation comparable to GK 800RB

Nothing wrong with the GK. I love it. I just don’t want to be in a situation where I don’t have a backup amp. My GK will be the backup.

Amp recommendation comparable to GK 800RB

I am looking to replace my GK 800RB. I know it is not replaceable and I love it but it is the only amp head I have and I'm looking for new gear. I play in a death metal band and I love the grindy tone and volume that head can push out. I saw posts on here before but they are a few years old. I...

    Three Volume Knobs Question

I can’t thank everyone enough. I really appreciate it.

    Three Volume Knobs Question

If that’s the case is it safe to say the left volume knob should not be higher than the right? I’m still learning so much about this head. I love it but it can be wild at times.
