I just put the Lollars in my 76 P-Bass and love em! I've got Lollars in a couple of my guitars as well and a set of Lindy Fralins in one of my strats. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these brands....these guys just know how to wind great-sounding pickups!

I literally just finished putting a set of Lollars in my 76 P Bass I also took the opportunity to do a good thorough set up on the bass and put a fresh set of TI flats.....and its transformed! I love it (again!)
