62 style Stacked in serial mod.

I didn't. Spent some time experiencing with different resistor values.

Thanks, the 40K seems to work really good. Sounds awesome.

Thanks RobbieK. "If you really want to isolate your tone controls, then going with the reissue circuit you simply have to remove the wire that goes between the outer lug on the volume pots and replace this with two 22K resistors in series. Then connect the wire from the jack to the junction of...

62 style Stacked in serial mod.

Thanks again, that helped a lot. Though I must admit, the trim pot trick sounds like a good idea, but I didn't totally get it. Should I connect two together? Don't they have 3 lugs?

Should I put the trim pots in the place of the resistors? BTW, it may be a silly newbie question, but how come Rickenbacker basses don't have the tone cross issue?

62 style Stacked in serial mod.

Thanks mate. You were assuming right. :D Trimmer pots? I don't know the term. Right now in series both tone control are working (Crosstalk?). But only neck volume. Would you recommend smaller value resistors? Oh, and in a freaky accident, I'm afraid lug 3 of the tone pot was broken. I saw that...

62 style Stacked in serial mod.

It's a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass. I added a lower Jaguar style control plate with a series/parallel switch. Series kicks ass!!:bassist:. I am now thinking about building a replacement control plate, with CTS pots, adding two 220K resistors to prevent tone crosstalk between the pickups...

So I got my CTS replacement pots

Are there any alpha dual 250K stacked pots with no center detent?

So I got my CTS replacement pots

I know, it really does. But not, even when you tight the screws, the knob is not symmetric inside.

So I got my CTS replacement pots

The VM Squier has stacked 62 jazz bass style control. And I do suspect they are dual 250K.

So I got my CTS replacement pots

Thanks everyone. fhm555, I am afraid that the info you put is for the Fender Jag. The pots are too big for the wholes, but also too small for the knobs. So I wouldn't drill the holes for pots that don't fit the knobs.

So I got my CTS replacement pots

Drilled? The diameter on the knobs is too big. Both cases. I ain't gonna drill the plate, that's why I am asking if anyone knows what are the original pots on the bass. It starts to look like that's one big mystery.

So I got my CTS replacement pots

For my Squier VM Jaguar. And it won't fit! I know I asked before, but I have to ask again, which pots are beings used on jag stacked knobs?! And which pots will match the knobs? Invalid Link Removed

    Squier VM Jag pots replacements.

Hello good people. I love the way my Squier Jaguar feels and sounds. Details here. Link Removed The only needed upgrade is replacing the pots. These do the job, but are kinda noisy. My first question is, which potentiometer value should I use? I don't know what Fender put in those (anybody?). I...
