Would really love to get the bass modded but i can't get the modding done here. So it's better i stick to stock bass and maybe get a preamp or a driver like sansamp. I just want to know which would be a really good stock bass for hard rock and metal genres. For studio first and then live...

If we talk about my priorities i would put versatility to second and first would be the bass sounding very good out of the box for hard rock/metal. From that I've come through so far it is said p bass is best for suited for metal and hard rock BUT also have come across which say MM stingray is...

This is a fender P and I'm sure it's not a squier. So a p bass for heavy music is okay?

Right so from what I've read reviews and while looking about EB basses, they've got a ton of options to upgrade. When you say EB HH, you mean just stock or with any custom parts?

Can't buy spector here as much as I'd be interested for the same. Hence requesting y'all for a pick of your choice of bass for hard rock/metal in the budget close to $550. Do advice. Thanks.

Perfect. So would you rather a split coil fender squire cv late '50 p bass or a single coil of the same? If there's any other p bass you've in mind for the scenario, do mention it. Thanks in advance.

Is it because the p bass doesn't cut through just enough with all the metal distortion guitars or it is because of the looking for the tone of Warwick which like you said if a take of Stingray?

I've heard from reviews and videos MM has a brighter side to the tone. I'm looking for growly miss and punchy low end. Which can you suggest i look for?
