Current Setup: Fender Jazz, Fender custom fretless Precision (with tapewounds), Ibanez 6-string, Dean 8-string (octaves), Dean acoustic 5-string, Bradley 3/4 P-bass, J. Reynolds 7/8 P-bass, and my favorite: Ibanez Mikro (7/8) J-bass, old Kustom head, Traynor dual-15 cab, Ampeg B-15 cab, Hartke Kickback 15; Moogerfooger Bass Murf, RP-2000, Alesis NanoCompressor, Nady 200 wireless

Gigs and Ensembles: Only play improvisional music anymore, home or out with friends, except when filling in for a friend. No need to please the masses, just playing music and trying to listen to the other players.

Previously Owned Gear: Ampeg B-15 for bass. Also, for other equipment or instruments, as an Electrical Engineer, who was also very close to a Music Education degree, and who's owned and operated a studio since the mid-80's, and who's played since the ages of 7 (piano), 8 (clarinet, then sax), and 14 (guitar, then bass), I tend to have a lot of (I like to think) informed opinion that may be worth hearing (given the amount of superstition that abounds in the musical world today, true vintage notwithstanding).

G.A.S. List: High-quality string bass with a great pickup system, NS or similar electric bass, and the biggest current wish: a double-neck bass, one neck 5-string fretted, 7/8 size, the other 4- or 5-string (haven't decided) fretless, 7/8 size, with active EQ (a la the Ibanez 3-band system), both strung with FunkMaster 66 strings (30, 50, 70, 90, and an added 5th string, whatever).

Influences and Teachers: Stanley, Jaco, Victor Wooten, many older jazz guys.
