    Nah, it's still the classical musician in me demanding the ledger lines. I'm complaining about a part that I had on Bassoon at one point. One of those instruments it was designed for... and I'd still rather count the lines.

    It honestly was completely unnecessary. It's much easier to just count two or three ledger lines above the staff than switch to a tenor mindset for such a brief amount of time... (I fear this is slightly off topic... but my band geek soul just had to get out there)

    Now that's just painful... almost as annoying as the arrangers who decide to throw in two bars of tenor clef in the middle of a previously bass clef run.
