Are there any books out there that could teach me Indian music? I really enjoy Joe Lester from Intronaut's playing and I know he uses a lot of "ragas" in his lines

I just dealt with the same problem. I had an idiot guitarist who never promoted, never knew the songs, never worked the crowd, and never had good stage presence always try to be argumentative. We had been playing the same set for like 6 months and he thought it was stupid to learn new songs...

The newer Intronaut is tasty. Pretty cool to see their progression. I was even surprised when Joe Lester's playing didn't take the spotlight during a clean section. Can't wait to catch them with Cynic (although I wish they still had Sean Malone) To everyone else, thanks for the help so far...

I didn't articulate that well. I just want to learn these styles and the theory behind them. Groove and feeling comes from the artist, I agree; I just need a starting point with these styles/genres/etc.
