    They may have used poplar on some of the older SRs with solid colors, but never basswood AFAIK.

    AFAIK, there is no place that sells actual Music Man parts. Have you checked into having yours powder-coated. You would probably have to track down some black screws and springs, but it might be a better alternative to an aftermarket bridge.

    That may be what he meant, but "technologically" is a pretty broad term. In terms of technological development it's not revolutionary, but in terms of technological application for bass players I think it is somewhat revolutionary.

    For now, it will only be available on the Reflex basses. The upcharge is said to be $500 retail, which should translate to around $350 street.
