Sure call Bill's design ********, but i should probably mention that he is a well respected system designer, with tons and tons of expirience and i will take his word over yours any day of the week.

And that is why i included all 3.. And i do agree with you about the evolution of speaker systems, but if there aren't any point in making them, i dont think they would. I can allready tell were this is goinng, but lets have a look at say a design by a Bill Fitz shall we? The attached response...

Indeed it is, its a program called hornresp. You punch in the driver specs, select horn type, rear chamber enclosure etc. etc. and it spits out all kind of information, including but not limited to: response graphs, diaphram displacement, phase response and group delay. This simulation was done...

We're did you get the -10db spec from? I meant just bass cabs in general. No they "combine" the waves from front and back of the cone. I could go into more detail but it's irrelevant. In short it's a more efficient design in a smaller volume.

Indeed it will, I've revised the specs given to me and it's more likely a 96db sensitivity

That is very much possible, but a tapped horn like Danley sound labs, can still go at some 30 hz flat according to their spec sheet

I searched the internet and came across this: (pics) Specs are indeed 50-5000 hz not 35 But it does list a B48(!)-MF with a frequency response from 40-5000 hz ! Along with some other pretty cool cabs like the l-48se that uses the same driver Dang i wish i was from the 70's now :(

Sure you could call bs all you want, here is the simulated response of said driver. Free standing, against a wall, and in a corner.

I do both agree with 40hz and Ω Monkey There is a ton of new equipment that would do the job better, but there is just something about the old stuff I feel the newer doesn't have. Sure a modern 1x18 long stroke subs could do flat til 15 Hz no effort (eg. Dayton ultimax 18 in ca 350 liter (same...

Indeed I agree with you. It's all about getting a poopie ton of bass now,

That looks quite alot like my 189es I agree

Indeed that look similar to mine, but with another name plate, mine is just black with Cerwin Vega written. If you'd like, you could pm me and we could talk trade... if shipping isn't killing the deal.

Hmm i am using this thing outdoors, but i do agree with you, it would bend physics to get such a low extension That thing with the specs being in stacks of 4 would make a lot of sense.

Hmm that would be an option i would guess, but the horn still needs tweaking to functioning optimally.

Then your literally the luckiest man i know. These things are seriously good!
