I love the thru neck of the kingfisher, and on top of that it's a PRS. The Sire however has just a ton of tonal settings, and after playing my current bass I have become a believer in preamps. I play an Epiphone Tobias deluxe 4 string by the way.

I'm currently in the market for either a PRS SE Kingfisher or a Sire M7. I've done fairly extensive research on both basses and they both seem to fit the bill I'm looking for. Unfortunately there aren't any shops anywhere near me that carry either bass, and buying the bass without playing it...

I'm seriously considering buying the TBK version of this bass, but buying a bass online scares me as well. If anyone has any experienced reviews of this bass or know anything about the Sire's return policy it would be greatly appreciated.
