If you have a power source to suggest, that would be fine too. I have a couple of different amps that would be more than sufficient for the job. Please keep in mind that the $200 is just a guideline. It can be more than that, but if possible try to keep in around that.

I really like the look of the new one, and all my basses are passive. One has an active/passive switch, but it's ALWAYS one active when playing. I also like the 5-string aspect and the neck-thru. Now where is the money...

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm looking around my local craigslist (Boston area), and not many are available. I figure used would be the way to go. I'll definitely look into your suggestions, too. The quality doesn't matter much. I'm a student and just doing this for some extra money.
