Hallo and happy New Year ! I just discovered some cracks in the winding on my SilverWoundedGamut A -string around Bb and also on the Silverwounded E string around the g. Is this common? I bought them in april 2010. Is there anything i can do about it ? THANKS NielsDale

Well i started this thread so i better end it by saying gut-strings saved my life

I have been playing and adjusting these strings since thursday last week and i must say they are getting better and better. I used to play spirocore,but these are different and very fine. The bass seem to have no problem adjusting to this kind of string and the sound of gut is so nice. Thanks...

I mean so the strings dont slip so easy when they are wrapped around wood !
