Honestly, I have 4 distortions now. My favourite one is the Microtubes B3K. Next to my Free Fuzz, Boss OD-3, and ME-20B, its screams subtlety and warmth. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny. look into it.

Help me if you can... I'm trying to find songs where a tremolo effect is used on the bass and used tastefully. I'm interested in the effect but solo bass demonstration videos on YouTube don't really give an accurate description on how the effect compliments or worsens the song. Cheers -J

I prefer single effects, but I do run an ME-20B in my pedal board just to supplement effects and use the volume pedal on it extensively. its pretty good for the price.

Not exactly a well known bass, however it is my absolute favorite. Washburn Taurus T-25. In summary,I missed out on buying the last one in that was selling for $700 in the guitar store above a studio I was working for, So I had them order me in one. So I instantly got a discount right there...
