    Old Kay K300 truss rod adjustment

    Most Kays of this era are a 5/16 nut. Find a thin walled socket to clear the narrow opening. Sometimes I slide the socket down onto the nut and use a straight blade screwdriver to spin the socket. Go slow and if you turn the nut more than 1/4 tighter, let the bass sit for a while.     Help Identifying?

    Hmmm... I just picked up a simular build. No clue what this is exactly, but damn if it doesn't play VERY well. Might be the best intonated short scale I own. The back of my plate is the same (5 screws) except it says "MADE IN JAPAN"... My pickup is way different, reminds me of those Harmony Gold...

    So here's one I just picked up. After fiddling with it for a few hours, the setup was complete, and it is a brillant player. I'm shocked!
