i had it done by a company in Melbourne - inscribe.com.au - they dont ship out of Aus tho so had to get a mate to collect and send, which is why it took so long cos hes a lazy bastard hahah. price was about $200 for this tho it is a full-bleed panel - 525mm by 168mm , you could bring the cost...

its been a while getting this new panel sorted but finally got it installed and it fits well. pretty happy with how it turned out.

has anyone noticed significant differences when changing out their power tube brands... im not a tube nerd but have been told the pres have as much impact on the output tone as the power tubes. ive watched 12AX7 shoot out videos and confess i dont really hear a difference, most of the powertube...

Hey that 50 looks mint! question for holden KT88 users - what brand/model tubes u guys using - and if not for fate, why? i have ehx kt88s atm, but waiting on some =C= SEDs from russia. keen to hear ppls opinions if applicable...

started reduxing my vbl tonight - phase 1 complete

interesting - your serial (1005) - they must have restarted the numbering after licensing to Ian/Aus. mine is defs pre- "WASP"/Aus, but is #3254. i wonder how many Holden amps were made in total. maybe mike knows. looks like your had an explosive history at one time. (near the right trannie)

This is what i love about the Holdens (apart form the sound obviously) - the provedance, the history and the mystery. every one is a unicorn. no two models are seemingly the same (with decades of room for potential mods, part swap-outs and recons etc... and bugger all paper trail/documentation...

that alright - i did notice the diff between wasp XL 100 and holden vbl 100 circuits. There's a guy on electronic music forums who was putting a VBL schem together - ive msged him but the thread was oooold, maybe something will come back - have also reached out to Strawberry for Mikes contact...

on that wasp vbl 200 - is the 12AT7 your PI? and the 12AX7A your cathode follower?
