Got it! The neck is going for approx $425 including tax, import tax,shipping charges etc from the UK. Another obstacle is if customs will allow the item in as the dealer here has exclusive rights and your not able to even import Fender guitars yet alone I have no idea about parts.I've even had...

Thanks for the reply! So basically the nut needs to be cut, the place for the tuners need to be drilled and it needs new tuners because the old ones aren't transferable? If what I understood was right it needs more work than I initially thought it would!

I've read your post and are facing exactly the same dilemma. I no longer can play on a fretless bass and are thinking of either swapping the neck just like you did or just selling as is and replace it with a Danelectro 59DC Long Scale Bass Please let me know your thoughts!
