I do have a soft case, but all the jostling around for 10 hours a day makes me anxious about wearing it out too soon. Cheap bass=less worry. Good.

Thank you for expounding on the Artiphon. It looks good but like you said, if the frets aren't like a bass it won't help. The more research I do the more I would have to agree that I just need to upgrade my tiny bass system to better amp and headphones and accept the need to constantly retune it...

Thank you. I checked out the Nux. I may have to upgrade to that. I got a cheap kids bass. 36" total. It was small enough, but way too short for low B. I had an Ibanez Mikro 5 string, but I kept smacking it against the truck window. I may have to just try the kids bass and suck it up.
