Since you have opened this matter, I too have the very SAME experience. Not once was this made clear to me that I will get a JB5 built out of Warmoth parts. The bass is good, but its in essence a 1500$ Warmoth build with Mas Hino (hopefully) pickups in there. And I also have zero luck hearing...
