Go try them both if you can. I've played both in a store, and I took the Aguilar home. It just felt like a better amp to me, sounded better to my ears. But I've only really just picked up bass, so I might not be a good judge of good sound. The Aguilar seems to have a large following on this...

I thought and still think 2 SL112s would sound great and be good for practice and shows. Something to look into in future, I got the ampeg 610 for less than a single sl112 would cost me new.. I'll keep an eye out for used ones.. Yeah half stacks and 6505s.

Standard 2 guitars, bass, drums singer. Metalcore/hardcore band It's just starting so small venues for now, but rehersals would mean I wouldneed an amp/cab that can hold its own against a loud 5 piece.

Well I worked out that the svt610 was too cheap of a deal to pass up on, so I bought it. Will be with me soon, thanks for the confirmation guys.

This is what I was thinking, some of the 410s are really highly regarded, but when they weigh as much as a 610, and the 610 has the top bar and castors, and skid rails, it just makes more sense, especially as I have an opportunity to get one used at a great price and in great nick.

So, I'm possibly about to get into a band situation on bass, Which means my TLA enabler headphone get needs to make was for a proper rig. I need something large enough to practice unsupported with a reasonably loud metal band, I love the Aguilar tonehammer 500, so I'm looking at one of those...
