The tuning pegs on the Talman are huge, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I ordered the bass from Sweetwater & that’s what their tech was saying, that the strings had to specifically for a short scale bass or they wouldn’t work, something about running out of winding room on the pegs, or the string coming unraveled?

I just bought a Talman TMB35 and want to put my favorite strings on, which happen to be a long scale. I’m told I can’t do that? What am I missing here? I’ve been doing this 58 years & this is the first time I’ve heard of this. I’ve always bought the strings I wanted & cut them to the proper...
