I have the fretless version of this bass and I love it! However, its output seems to have diminished lately. It's not the battery as I've put in a fresh one. Still the same. Could it be the preamp? Can it be repaired? Thanks.
Well, if we were talking about a guitar speaker, I would agree. But bass speakers tend to be more akin to a pro audio speaker and tend to have not as much varied frequency responses as guitar speakers. That's why I'm more willing to take a chance.
Has anyone here had any experience with Faital or B&C speakers?
I have a couple of Eden EX110s. I have swapped out the original speaker on one with a Celestion NTR102520E and it sounds great and is about 1/2 the weight. Just wondering if I could do better with the other one.

No need to replace them. Mine had the same problem but on the the bass and treble controls. I just got a suitable hex key and moved the treble (inner) knob up higher on its post. Problem solved.
I have this exact same bass and love it! Love the tortoise shell pickguard too. Replaced the Jazz pickup with a Humbucking DiMarzio though. Couldn't take the buzzing.
