    DI impedance for Active bass?

I have never had the need to really DI before. But now that I have a bass I will. I have a ISA ONE by Focusrite that has input impedance of either 470k or 2.4M. I think I am gathering the high 2.4M is for piezo. so the 470k would be for active or passive bass?

Ibanez help....Neck relief is not very even...

...and if you are not you could be getting a twisted neck....as I did at first. i have never run into a twisted neck before, so it caught me offguard. nothing says you cannot tweak things to your liking, but from 20 years of playing 6 string I find manufacturers specs a good starting point...

Ibanez SR505T - GC exclusive neck through version

I saw one today and was thinking the same thing. it was a brown stain wood color. I love the wood look. scratches are just history and add character IMO. but ya, satin all around. no lacquer. I like options. no need to drastically change the model number if it spread it around and start...

.45mm (.018"). ibanez says .3-.5mm if I go closer to .3mm (.012") I will start to get more buzz I think. do most basses buzz a decent amount just because of the string size/vibration area.

Ibanez help....Neck relief is not very even...

well I went in and returned the guitar. it was an as is sale but they let me. I had the truss rod totally straight on the bass strings and the treble was still bowed and then leveling off at the body. one guy thought it played fine.... :| I got a new SR700 instead. felt better than their...

Ibanez help....Neck relief is not very even...

I have setup my share of 6 string guitars, but this is my first bass setup. its a 4 string ibanez sr600. picked it up used last week. ibanez with factory specs using .045-.105 strings says the neck relief should be between .3mm-.5mm at the 8th fret with the first fret fretted and fret at the...

no, not unhappy. far from it. I was confused at how the EQ on the bass itself appeared to function.

lol, no. playing it thru an old Marshall practice amp lasted about 20 the first day and that was that. it was amazing how much bass it was able to do, but it also sounded like it was going to fall apart. See above. carvin bx600 combo. I should add, after seeing the EQ curves above, its in...

Strap pin hole with woodglue and toothpick repair

why not go to a hardware store, get a longer screw but with a head that will fit, and just drill the hole a bit deeper. then shove in a toothpick or two for loose area and have a good solid hole for sure deeper in there. the bass I just bought had a hole that was a bit too lose for my liking...

being a guitar player, I was thinking mesa boogie mark amps, which are probably derived heavily from fenders design. but maybe its just my imagination. but it seemed like the top end falls off when I increase the bass, as opposed to simply boosting the bass freq. and since they have a blend...

so I have been playing thru an amp I picked up. the tone controls on the bass take a bit to get used to. are they run in series? it feels like adding bass removes highs and mids. adding mids or highs removed bass. is there a typical interaction I should know about to help speed along...
