Currently playing with an 80s 90s dance cover band, some commercial studio work, and playing Upright Double Bass in an unplugged vocal band.

I was an American Gringo playing in a disco cover band at the Rosarito Beach Hotel in Mexico for 2 years running. "Good Times..." no pun intended (you know the song.)
Learned Spanish.

Southwestern Jazz Ensemble.
Past studio work in Cologne, Stockholm, and San Diego.

Previously Owned Gear

Built my first bass when I was 14 from a cheap Japanese guitar I got in a pawn shop. Built my own Heathkit amp, then moved up to an old Fender Bassman, then an Acoustic 371 "refrigerator" and some Carvin amps.
Now having grown up, I am using Bergantino and Euphonic Audio forever more...

Early influencers - Fielder, Sklar, Prestia, Ray Brown, some Jamerson, some Manring, and the sounds in my head.

I now enjoy George Baldwin immensely. I wish he would post more... amazing player and great composer.

Classical was my start. SD Youth Symphony, SW University Jazz Ensemble (with Don Ellis).
Studied under Phillips, Dallenbach, Emile, Vinole, and Long.
