    Ray34 preamp not working.

    Sorted. After another check with multimeter I noticed there was no continuity between the negative terminal on the battery connector and the terminal on the jack. I placed a temporary wire between the two and the pre amp started working! Under £2 for a new battery connector so I'm happy.

    Ray34 preamp not working.

    It's the right hand diagram actually. I have a dc feed with a probe on the red wire with the shrink tubing pulled back and the black wire on the jack with the cable plugged in. When I disconnect cable it breaks the circuit. So..it looks like the jack is fine....

    No joy. I unscrewed the jack input to inspect and plugged a cable in and it all looks to be in order.

    I plugged my Ray34 in the other day and immediately noticed the volume was very low and the controls on the 3 band eq had no effect. I replaced battery,pulled out the preamp/eq console to inspect behind it, couldn't see anything amiss. Wondering if it could be the preamp/eq console and what sort...
