You read lots about fitting neck plates, thickness, how tight to do the screws up etc. but I wondered if anybody has played around with the position in the neck pocket. Stewmac recommend 1 5/16" from the heel but I am reusing a neck that has in the past been drilled wonky by the previous owner...

I think you are bang on - only difference is mine has chrome hardware

Thanks for the advice - I will be using a mini toggle switch for the series/split/parallel wiring - the bass lines site shows wiring using a blade switch and includes a 3.3k resistor - will I need that if I am doing the same set up with the toggle switch
