Hey All, I just purchased a new USA Classic 44-64 from Sweetwater. I did not receive any sort of COA or paperwork from Lakland with the bass. I am just curious if this is normal before I reach out to my SW rep. Not an issue obviously, the bass is fantastic, but all my basses around this price...

Update: Got the Deoxit today. Noticed an immediate improvement in positions 4 and 5, however position 2 is still a no go. I get a faint pop at the start of the note but then essentially very very low output. Every once in while it is a bit louder, but even when it is, it doesn't sound right.

Honestly, after opening the back cavity, I have no business touching anything back there. I have done some light soldering back in the day on some RC helicopters, but that was very simple, this looks way to daunting for me. I'll be calling a Luthier next week.

I took a look in the back cavity, and nothing stood out to me as being an issue, however I am a novice. After looking back there, I have no intention of touching anything, if the DeOxit in the switch doesn't work, I will most likely be calling the luthier, which usually has a month-long waiting...

Noted! Pots seem to be working fine so I will leave those be for the time being.

Thank you, appreciate the feedback. The DeOxit is not coming until Thursday, so I will open the back and see if I can find anything obvious. If Deoxit doesn't help, I will most likely just call my local luthier.

Hi All, I just picked up a 2006 Sterling 4HS that is essentially in new condition. The previous owner, a guitar player, purchased it 20 years ago and played it less than a handful of times at home. It still has the plastic on the plates. The bass sounds great in position 1 and 3, but 2,4 and 5...

So that explains why when I opened the back up there were 2 9v batteries, I was only expecting one! Ric is that you? Lol!

Hi All, Sharing my SWB-1 I purchased earlier this year. It was purchased from Scott Whitely by one of his students (whom I purchased it from). The headstock is signed by Scott. I have a printed photo of Scott playing it as well with the white pickups, so I assume he swapped those himself.
