    Yeah the strings definitely make a difference. I find flatwounds enhance what the Lyte does well. It was my only bass for about 15 years and I just loved it. This thread is inspiring me to try using it again. Ive gotten so used to the finger-driven dynamics of my Jazz. Thanks for the inspiration.
