yeah thats one of the things I like about my XL2 - although its just as heavy as my other basses its easy to put in the back of the car and load in to band practice.

I just stumbled accross this [Josh Paul bass challenge] and apart from the greatest playing I love the bass tone he's getting from his Stringray special 4 HH. I wonder what he's using to get that tone.
