Current Setup

I play an OLP Stuart Spector design 5 string. I plug that into a Fender BXR 25 head (separated from speaker cab), with its "preamp out" going into the "power amp in" of a 400 watt SWR Working Pro head. I prefer the simpler 3-band Fender pre than the SWR pre. The SWR then powers an SWR Working Pro 2x10 cab.

Gigs and Ensembles

Right now I'm only in one definite band. It's a young (half a year), space rock jammy kind of band. We gigged once so far, and it went well. There's also the random get-togethers and small fun performances where other local musicians and I play.

Previously Owned Gear

I used to play an OLP Music Man 5-string through a 150 watt Music Man amp (just a coincidence) with whatever speaker cab I could use at the time. Sometimes I used my friend's ampeg 1x15, other times a PA speaker or two. Later I bought a Hartke 4x10 "transient attack" cab. The bass and amp combination had a cool sound; nice singing bell-like mids, and an interesting stringy growl. Could've had a bit more low end and punch, but it worked nice at the time. I bought my SWR 400 amp before a new bass, and it boosted the bottom and punch, but didn't get the same mids effect. Still have the bass, but I don't play it. Maybe some day.

G.A.S. List

I'd like to get a 2-channel power amp, not sure what kind though. Anything around 500 W per channel or so.
New basses that I try are always getting on my wish list, but can be overwhelming. For now I'm just going to focus on the one I have.
There are some effects I could enjoy having. A good wah, octave, and distortion pedal would be nice. Maybe a few others I can't think of right now.

The bass player from the former Rhino Campground, now known named otherwise (can't remember the current name) and without the vocalist.
