I've posted the pic. on here before trying to find more info on "Bugs" and his AEB-1. Sorry Beans, but these are folk tales which seem to be turning into "the truth" since the advent of the internet and time passing. 1) Hendrix did this session to fulfill his contractual obligations to Ed...

I found this on the toob. Curtis Knight vocals, "Bugs" Gregory bass, Hendrix 8 string Fuzz enhanced Hagstrom Bass. Does that sound like a well produced, good player using an AEB or not?:jawdrop:

Wouldn't it be great if Bugs AEB-1 is the one sitting beside me here in England today? The other funny thing is, I have a Fender Duo Sonic in beat up sunburst that looks remarkably like the one that Mr. Hendrix used before he was famous. And I bought mine before I even knew he used one.:)

Copy of the post I placed back in May 9th. 2013 below. Still trying to find some more info on "Bugs". Here's a couple of pix I found of Hendrix jamming with Curtis Knight in 1967. Note the Ampeg Scroll Bass.... Apparently the bass player is Ed "Bugs" Gregory. Does anyone know more about him...

This the one that just sold on the bay? Looks to me that someone has swapped the jack socket and tone knob - what do you think, Bruce?

My tuppence worth...... For small pub gigs / recording I use my 1973 B15N or if it's likely to be a rougher pub my Ampeg B115HPT. For the big'ns Ampeg V4BH through Ampeg 4x10 HLF Classic cab or sometimes I pull out my Elgen 100W head through the Elgen 2x12 cab. I also use the Sansamp BD if...

I think this is the late Rod Hicks who also went on to play with The Butterfield Blues Band.

This is the Guy from Bad Company (on the left) - his name was Boz Burrell. Joe Long is a southpaw, isn't he? That confirms us Scroll Bass fanatics can't tell the difference.;)

Thanks Bruce - that's all I have found so far, hence my questions. I guess he must have been good to play with Curtis Knight and use an AEB-1. :)
