The function band i had played bass with for seven or eight years folded at the start of February. I've been scouring local adverts to try and get a two-piece going as a guitarist. I had looked at NUX Amp Academy, but this could be a better option.

I'm a guitarist that gigs as a bassist. I started with plectrums, but arthritis, CTS and a desire to recreate original sounds on covers lead me to start using fingers. I try to use two-finger technique, but sometimes it's just one.

Budget gear these days is pretty good. When I started, thirty years ago, the lower end was made from plywood and usually rubbish. I play a VM Jazz and cound not tell why a MIM Jazz was almost twice the price.
