Hmmm... learning new stuff every day. The hum isnt what I would consider unusual from the amp really. Is it possible to wire up the cab to 4ohms, or should I just get a new cab instead? Sounds like I need to take the Bassman and have it given a good once over by a pro, anything other than basic...

Hey Coreyfyfe, Thanks for the reply. My egnater cab is actually a 16ohm. I've tried using all 4 input jacks on the amp and it seems to have the same problem with both channels. I also tried my strat through both channels but with good results running into the egnater. Wouldnt running a 4ohm amp...
