Thanks for the advice. That answers my question well. I would go all Hipshot, except the string-through bridges they make are expensive and differently styled. Any suggestions for what HS tuners to get?

So, I'm building a custom jazz bass from parts and have come to the stage of buying hardware. I'm making it a string-through so I need a compatible bridge. Ive been looking at the Gotoh BB-3575-010: Link Removed. It is a chrome bridge. However, the Gotoh tuners offered only come in nickel finish...
