Yeah, jcbofa! Congrats on the new bass. I've played many basses over the years, but the Clement basses are something special. You did good for your first fretless. There are a bunch of sub-standard basses out there that cost way too much. Tom C. has hit the correct ratio of quality/value. Spend...

Ahh, very good, Renegade! I get it. :D

Yeah, it could be like a motorcycle rally. Everyone shows with their ride (bass/basses) and we swap stories, licks, riffs, etc. etc. ;) I just took apart my new Clement #144 and reassembled it just because I wanted to. I added a cool Hipshot 2 string retainer to the headstock for the E/A...

Hey Mr. Walker... Nice collection, indeed. I think you need a guard dog more than me! In what way do you use all of those fine instruments... gigs, venues, projects, etc?? I'm looking forward to the recordings! Also, I'm loving the Tonestyler on my latest Clement bass, as well.

She's a Shepherd/Collie mix who just got groomed. She's not really vicious. She is very smart and well behaved though! She even stays in the room when I practice... "Sit Boo Boo, sit!"

Snaxter....Yes, that is a burled redwood top on a swamp ash body. I received her today and she is sweet. I am tweaking the setup for my taste, but the bass is incredible. Stew McKinsey...Thanks for your help back in February with the pickup and wiring advice. You were very kind on the phone...

No action on this thread for a week. Hmmm...whats going on? OK, I have a new honey arriving tomorrow, #144 is done and shipped. Can't say anything for sure about it yet, but the pics are very nice....Thanks Tom. Ken

Me too... :( Is that a water based poly or oil based poly that you use on redwood?

xcxre8, I am in St. Louis County, MO. I have a fretted singlecut five-string Clement bass (#132) that you are welcome to try out. I'm about five hours away. There might be somebody closer though. Let me know. Ken

Ken, Not sure on the ETA. It doesn't matter though. Whatever time it takes for Tom to make it great. But, the whole process has gone faster than I originally thought. Do you have a pic of your bass? I can't find it on clementbass.com. I think David (godsbassman) has a redwood top bass (#122) as...

Thanks! The neck is a 7-ply of mahogany/wenge/maple/mahogany/maple/wenge/mahogany, I think. Tom can tell you for sure. Lightweight swamp ash body, burled redwood top, ebony board. The pup is a Nordstrand Signature Dual Coil with a passive Tonestyler tone circuit. Simple, just the way I like it...

That 6.0 12T combo is from Fat Tone Guitars in Northbrook, IL. That is where I bought (eBay auction) my Genz Benz 3.0 head. The price was excellent and the service was very good. Keep an eye on them for GB deals. Ken

Hey Gang.....I just bought one of the Genz Benz 3.0 heads to run with my EA Wizzy 10 cab. Incredible combination. Lightweight, excellent sound. I've been using some great lightweight gear over the past few years, but this combo is the "cats meow". I really just put it together for use at home...

Bill Thanks for taking the time to record my future bass #144. The tonestyler sounds nice. As I was telling Tom, I think the ability to have preset tones is excellent, especially without actives/batteries and such. What a great working tool to know that, for example, "series position 4" gives my...
