Why does fender not have a 5 string option for their mod shop? I imagine there is a market for it.

What is everyone's take on this scenario. You can only have one bass (I know, sad). If you had to have one bass, would you prefer a very versatile setup (3 band, A/P, Muliple Pickups, Series/Parralele); or a simple bass (think P bass) that always sits well in the mix.
