    G&L out of business?

I suspect he’d not be surprised. He almost had to shut down G&L a few times while he still ran it.

    G&L out of business?

No. He remained with Fender for several years on a consulting contract. He sold Fender because he was sick and thought he was dying. He didn’t want to stay on as before.

Stepped up and did what? It’s not looking like they did anything but buy the Leo trademarks.

    G&L out of business?

Here’s my take on all these videos that have been posted. When there’s an actual announcement, we will all know it because we’ll see it everywhere; here, Facebook, Reddit, wherever. Until then, these videos are just people reading back to us the same things we’ve been churning here for the last...

Interesting to know that all those necks shown in that post were garbage (bad truss rods, CNC damage, etc) that no one was allowed to throw away because having them in the way made the shop look busy.

You’d look at some of those warnings and think “nobody is stupid enough to do this”. Well, that warning is there because somebody was stupid enough.

Yep. And that aligns with the notification that BBE was wound down on Tuesday.

    G&L out of business?

Fun fact: prior to this summer, the G&L website had this disclaimer, “The personal name, likeness and signature of Mr. Clarence Leo Fender are property of G&L Musical Instruments / BBE Sound, Inc” More recently, the disclaimer was changed to say, “The personal name, likeness and signature of...

    G&L out of business?

My two last Fender purchases were both outstanding. I tried hard to find flaws but aside from one tiny mark on the binding that I saw with my loupe, I couldn't find anything. Both were far better than my Doheny V12 which ... had problems.

    G&L out of business?

Well, here's as much as we're going to get as an announcement I suspect. Leo's name and likeness is now on the homepage of Fender.com
