unfortunately I have no Idea what the xlim stands for. From my understanding the Xmax says how far the cone can move in and out without speaker breakup/distortion. is this right? So I always thought more Xmax= more bass response. Is this right? and what is the Xlim about? Thanks guys!

Ah! O.k.! I really think the driver doesn´t sound like it has a small Xmax. It´s moving some serious air and sounds much more relaxed, smooth and less stiff than the EVM 15B I compared it once to. It also handles the low B quite well.

I´m a bit confused because the Spec sheet of the m151 says it has a Xmax of 5mm.

Hi There! I have an old JBL m151-8 and I really like the sound of it. I would like to know how it compares (technically) to a more modern (up to date) driver like the Eminence Kappalite 3015. Since I know nothing about Thiele Parameters I hope a Pro like Bill Fitz Maurice can help here...
