I did have a receipt, even showed the cops. They said it was not sufficient even though the station staff sold it to me, according to Amtrak policy. Cops didn't care either. So either I paid up or get off.

I was not being arrested or anything so no I did not get a police record. Did get the eviction process on camera though, in case someone questioned whether I was actually refused service. Police was simply here to expedite the process of getting me off. Because of that I doubt I am blacklisted...

It wasn't even heated. Conductor said around the 3rd time waking me up that I would have to pay $300+ or get off. I refused, and again when he asked me later. When I said no I was almost laughing given how absurd this was. Of course I also refused to voluntarily get off LOL so police was here.

tbf they are a fantastic option if someone wanted to avoid the hassle of a flight case and have a chance to rest aka not having to drive. Greyhounds tend to have bad storage for basses too, if not downright unsafe.
