    Let’s talk coffee

I started with a manual grinder. I picked up a Zassenhaus burr grinder, which 25 years ago was top of the line, german burrs and so on. But I quickly grew lazy or tired of the constant grinding and moved to an electric setup. :). Especially when you are making two double shots each morning. :)...

Warwick RockBass Corvette Basic (Newer Model)

I tried one of the new Rockbass' earlier in the year. It played really nicely. I think most people will be happy with them and the price point. They have really upped their quality, shielding hte electronics and so on. They were nice instruments.

Anyone have any thoughts on this video? (Another Warwick Bass Guitar Does the Twist Thumb Bass Bolt On - Daves World of Fun Stuff) I personally haven't found Warwicks to experience twisted necks as a regular occurrence. Seems to me just to be bad luck, or perhaps the conditions the bass was...

You do realise that AI detection is notoriously bad, inaccurate and is very prone to false positives?

The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

I got to check out some of the new Rockbass models this year and they are nice instruments (IMHO) ... the copper shielding in the electronics and other little bonuses made them quite nice. German ones are still generally the preference, if you can pick up one cheaply second hand i'd say go for...

The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

Thats what happened to m D tuning peg, it broke off at the base when I was hardly tuning it yesterday. On closer look at my Bass, I got it second hand, and the E string tuner is a matt black, whilst the others are shiny. So I assume the E must have been replaced at some point - which hopefully...

Thanks, my local store only had 1 LHS and 2 RHS. So i have the broken one covered now. But should I ideally replace all four, or just doing the broken one is fine?

The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

Just had my D tuner pole snap when trying to tune before practicing on my German Warwick $$. Was thinking of doing a simple quick express order of a replacement Warwick machine head, but thought i'd do a quick post here and see if there is a better option I should be thinking about?

    Let’s talk coffee

I like the brass boiler a lot better. There have been issues with Gaggia boilers over time, flaking and so on. Some of them were aluminium (though I think that has changed now) and I wanted to get away from aluminium if possible as something i use daily. The steam pressure is 100% better than...

A few years back I swapped from a Gaggia to a Rancilio Silvia. It was a great upgrade, I regret not having done that years before. If you have a good grinder and you are ok an giving a manual machine a go, I really recommend the Rancilio. These things are built like tanks and easy to repair...

Yeah I think from now on I'll check my battery every 3 months. I'm not unhappy about that in any way. If that is the price for my bass to sound amazing, then i'm all for it. Problem is it that it is a slow decline, but so noticeable when a fresh battery is in. It really is brilliant - I have...

The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

I e-mailed Hans-Peter Wilfer from Warwick and he said the following. He really is a fantastic individual. How many other companies have someone like him, the founder of the company, still helping out in such a productive manner and is just so helpful. It makes me love the Warwick brand even...

The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

Hey everyone, i'm a little curious, how often are people replacing their batteries in their Warwicks? My $$ was sounding fuzzy and I was on my usual settings, and things just didn't play right like they used to. Didn't click at first after playing around with dials on the guitar, on my...

Everything here is why I love the SV. I'm going back and forth now between the SV and the new Mesa Preamp pedal. SV just works and gives me the sound I want. The Mesa is brilliant and makes me wants a D-800+ to have just an amp and cab, but i'm still learning all the dials and fiddling around...
