Has anyone any experience of this brand? I came across one today in my lms and the guy had it second hand, wanted £250 (around $400) for it. He told me they are korean made for the British company that is now defunct. It sounded and felt quite nice and seemed a good weight. It had 2 jazz pups...

Hi, Someone I know has an old Hofner semi acoustic guitar they have offered to sell me. I'm a bit of a newbie and I'm wondering 1. Are they any good? 2. What sort of price should I being looking to pay? Any advice appreciated!

I don't mind the weight either, my current bass weighs a fair old but anyway :-) One thing that attracted me to the ATK is that it sounded pretty versatile sonically with the pickup switching. How do you find that, does it produce a decent racket?

Hi all, I've been learning bass for about 9 months and I was thinking of treating myself to a new bass. I can spend up to £400 and the ATK200 looked pretty interesting. Has anyone had any experience of it?

That's interesting! Do you have any schematics for the input stage? I.E what diode is used? Does that mean you could build a simple unit to use as a radio suppression to plug the guitar into and then output to the amp?

Thanks for all the feed back, ideas and solidarity! I'm going to do a total insulation of the cavity, fresh wiring of the pots, Jack socket and bridge earth using the shortest lengths of cable possible. And just to make sure tie a knot in the audio cable, if none of that works I'll admit defeat!
