Time for a solid body bass...

I am looking at a new 6 string solid body bass and would like some opinions. The potential choices are a Joe Veillette custom neckthrough 6, a Modulus Quantum 6 or a Modulus TBX (neckthrough) 6. Hardware is really similar, Joe uses Citron pups, I would pick Barts for a Modulus and Bart NTMB...

Veillette 6 string bass with 39" nut to saddle length

HELP!! I need to replace tapewounds on a Veillette bass with super long strings. The saddle is literally at the end of the bass. Recommendations are urgently needed. I tried calling Joe V, but no reply. Remember, this IS a 6 string with low B and high C. RAD

    "Warmest" bass?

25 years ago my mentor suggested the 6 as exploring new vistas such as chords, ease of covering 2 octaves, melodic solos and playing a "real" Eb.

Hahaha....you should be "pun"wished for that. But congrats on saving a rescue bass.

    "Warmest" bass?

    "Warmest" bass?

I appreciate the expertise of the members of TalkBass and would like to ask what members consider to be the warmest, full sounding bass. I do not want the sharp, biting trebles or the fuzzy mids. But I do want a clear sound that mixes well with the rest of the band. To complicate this a bit...

Phil Jones Bass Introduces the Bighead Pro Headphone Amp / Digital Audio Interface

So it sounds like the line out would be best. I wonder if I should consider a PJB Bass Buddy as it has headphones out, aux in AND a di? Lot more money though. Only thing missing is a built in tuner.

So the Rolands can handle the low B...great. I want to keep the setup as simple as possible, so I think I'll take a closer look at the Roland line. Thanks

Best Busking Amp for 6-string Acoustic Bass?

I've got an absolutely beautiful Chris Larkin Custom 6=string acoustic bass with piezo pickup under the bridge. My friends and I would like to do an acoustic trio (female vocalist, guitar and bass) at some local restaurants/coffee houses, but I know I will need some slight amplification for the...
