I am looking at a new 6 string solid body bass and would like some opinions. The potential choices are a Joe Veillette custom neckthrough 6, a Modulus Quantum 6 or a Modulus TBX (neckthrough) 6. Hardware is really similar, Joe uses Citron pups, I would pick Barts for a Modulus and Bart NTMB...
HELP!! I need to replace tapewounds on a Veillette bass with super long strings. The saddle is literally at the end of the bass. Recommendations are urgently needed. I tried calling Joe V, but no reply. Remember, this IS a 6 string with low B and high C.

So it sounds like the line out would be best. I wonder if I should consider a PJB Bass Buddy as it has headphones out, aux in AND a di? Lot more money though. Only thing missing is a built in tuner.
So the Rolands can handle the low B...great. I want to keep the setup as simple as possible, so I think I'll take a closer look at the Roland line.
