    Suggestions for a "beater" bass (under $1500.00).

    i work as a amateur luthier and i had a customer that has alembics and high end basses. He loved his cheapo OLP 5 string. the tone, playability, he just loved it. Made me do extensive repairs after the truss rod was broken. I installed a new one. lol.

    here is the deal. I have changed the neck and things and thought i could make the bridge more vintage by changing saddle heighth adjuster screws into those vintage "slotted" kind. my question is : will fender american saddle heighth screws that are vintage "slotted" (6-32) fit in Vintage...
