    Buzz Coming through amp - I'm running out of options

    ok, so it looks like the only two basses of mine that do it are the two that have active preamps. One has EMH HZ passive pickups with a Schecter stock preamp. My current thinking is the active basses when plugged in are creating some kind of antenna and receiving the buzz. you think shielding...

    "Quizzing the rehearsal space owners about any work done in the last few months would be the next step" That'll be my next step. I guess these no other way to sheild out a strong EM field other than standing in a foil bubble? :D

    east bay area amp repair

    Gene's Sound Service 415 377-1258. I've used this guy to repair a GK RB800 amp and he's worked on some stuff for my keyboard player too. He's real good and he makes house calls which worked out great for me.
