Could be but it makes ALL the difference in guitars. I had a P bass some time ago and a standup bass but just didnt play them enough to keep. Now Ive quit guitar and my interest in bass has resurfaced.

On guitar I think Fender bullets are more popular than any other. The personalization comes more to the gauge. I liked 9's but some like 10's. so what would you say was the most popular for bass.

I am shopping but its been my experience that the strings that come on guitars are no good so I just plan on changing them when I get the bass. Im talking with a guy now on this site about maybe buying his so if that happens Ill ask him but I think they are flatwounds. My experience flats on...
