I’ve got a Tiger bass, do you know what brand of tape wounds you are going to go with? I have some medium scale strings that I could check the length on to confirm that brand fits. I think I have medium scale D’Addario’s and DR’s at home that I could pull out to check.

Thanks for sharing, much appreciated. When you say the neck was narrow I assume you mean narrow from treble edge to bass edge? The nut width does look a bit small but I wasn’t sure if that was more of an optical illusion because of the wide headstock shape. I was lucky enough to score one of...

Anyone own a Rivolta Combinata bass? I’ve got three Rivolta guitars and they are fantastic. Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Combinata bass and wondering if anyone has any experience with one?

I’ve got the brass hipshot bridge on a ‘07 4003 and a ‘73 4001. And I’m about to install an aluminum hipshot on one of my other Rics to try it out. The brass for sure has some weight to it which I don’t mind. Plays great, sounds great. I prefer it over the V2 Ric bridge. On Hipshot’s website...

    MJT NBD and total disappointment

Dude. So cool. Are those TV Jones picksups in there? I’ve been dying to put some TV Jones bass picksups in a 51. Is that the standard pickup placement just routed out to accommodate that (soapbar?) pickup up and ring?

Can I ask where you got those bodies from? They are awesome

Hey brother! I love the neck. The only thing that was slightly weird at first was the valute. I’ve never seen one so pronounced. But I really dig it now. When you say wide you are referring to the width of the fretboard from treble edge to bass edge right?

That may have to be a custom order. If you shoot Vince an email at Eastwood ([email protected]) he may be able to tell you if there’s a vendor that already has the measurements to cut it. Pickguardian does nice custom work, but to your point it can be a tad expensive.

*Sorry, I meant 32” scale for the Tiger bass. Which is super awesome. I have a rare Novo bass with the same 32” scale length and I find it to be the PERFECT scale for me

AAAAAAMEN. I recently but JBE’s (formally Joe Barden) PUs in my 4003s Pearlstar and I even took the extra screws out of stock bridge PU casing (the JBEs fit back into the original Ric PU casings) to get it to stick out of the pickguard as high as I could. As well as the little rubber bushings...

Uhhhhh ohhhhhh. I did a bad thing. I freakin love it. The volute (where the back of the neck meets the headstock) is a bit weird and an acquired taste because it’s kinda big and pointy. But I have always, will always, love a 30” scale 24 fret bass! So comfy to play and you can really fly. As...

Oh by the way, it regards to the 4003 Blueburst. I bought it from a guy in Florida who currently has one listed on Reverb. DO NOT BUY THIS THIS GUY. He had sold under multiple names on Reverb and EBay. He sent me a different blueburst than what the listing pictured. Of course the listing showed...
